  really had expected to unreservedly love this and came out a little underwhelmed. the 2014 section in particular is a little uneven for me, but i think it does cohere at the end, and the ending is pretty darn raw. lea seydoux is absolutely tremendous as usual, but george mackay, wow. not sure i’ve ever even seen him in something else, love his performance. the shooting is beautiful and interesting, and maybe bonello is wearing his influences a bit too…
