  I liked this one better than X! I do not know much about the production of either film, but this feels like the film that Ti West originally set out to make and then decided to make X when they got to their set. Tighter narrative in comparison to the previous film with a standout performance by Goth. The film goes over similar themes of sexual repression leading to violence, but I find it does so in a much more effective manner. The film does abetter job showing the way that violence manifests, whereas I found X did more telling

  Fun enough for an enjoyable evening at the movies. All accounts I heard before watching were that this movie is pretty mid but fun, and after watching I can agree with the consensus. Gosling and Blunt have good chemistry together, there are some fun action sequences, but a lot of missed jokes. Also some pretty atrocious needle drops (how many times do I need to hear kiss in one movie?) and I am so tired of modern blockbusters writing in…
