  Clearly could have been a great ‘message’ movie if someone just had the balls. A younger Bette would have demanded improvements for sure. They traded in a political theme for a “crazy woman witch-hunt” early on, then just seem to forget the entire point they wanted to make. And the book burning montage at the end? No significance, totally flavorless unfortunately.

  Now if only she could storm a White House press conference and slap around Karoline Leavitt like she does that lil blonde kid…

  It’s too bad that film is so much more capable of gathering seemingly disparate ideas and emotions compared to the reality of so many political stages, making us, the captive audience, so thirsty for a stabilizing elixir. The intersection of this release in this exact moment in time gave me what I really hope is not too brief of a glimmer in to what things should be, inocente, or in between certainty, and not the utter chaos they are.
