i wish they would have really leaned into the whole supernatural aspect of this. the second half’s monologuing and time skipping in conjunction with the half-formed plot of the the fictional television show just felt like i was being beat with “did you get the metaphor!!!!!!” instead of actually satisfyingly finishing what the first half built.
idk how to say “this was a movie for teens and i hope they fucking love it” without sounding condescending because i really don’t…
