Let's Start a Cult 2024
The first 20 minutes of this was pretty shaky— performances are stilted, the writing’s thin, and the humor is sort of trying. Once this gets going and we get over establishing the premise and get into playing around, this is pretty solid. A good handful of lol moments. That being said, this leans a little too far into the Improv-ness imo, and it becomes less funny and more like they’re just making stuff up.

Humf. I was incredibly gratified learning that this was designed by whoever did the stuff for Pokémon Sun and Moon cuz I was thinking that the whole time.
Pretty neat recontextualization of Gundam worldbuilding. Urban space utopias—> neon space Tokyo. Reminded me that Gundam is cool.

Pretty freaky, especially in the beginning. All the freakiness is aided by some pretty stellar sound design and a persistent use of wide shots full of darkness. I consistently caught myself scanning the background of close ups for little things moving around.
