Prometheus was simultaneously so good and so bad at the same time.
THE GOOD
I really liked the cinematography, this movie looks beautiful in just about every scene and it matches the style of Alien (1979) pretty well.
The score was also fantastic. It felt so grandiose and epic like I was really going on an adventure to discover my creator and find the meaning of my existence on another planet light years away.
The acting was also fairly decent…
Easily my least favorite Star Wars film. There was no clear direction, very poor character development, and an excessive but basic plot. There was no reason for this film to be as long as it was, many of the decisions the characters made were pointless, and the lore was altered to fit the image the directors wanted. If you were looking forward to getting some answers to the lingering questions J.J. Abrams created in the Force Awakens, you will be disappointed. The change in directors caused many plot points to be dropped or cut out.
