I don’t like torture porn but this is preferable to me than other gore torture murder flicks. I wasn’t in love with some of the cast but this movie gave us some amazingly memorable stuff like the log truck scene. I felt like they were edging me all movie and that’s kind of what you want out of this it’s almost slapstick humor. Some of the shots really stuck into my mind (for better or for worse- some gross ones..) and other effects were midskis. I guess I have to see the rest now…

This movie becomes all too upsetting when you find out it’s a true story. The dialogue has a tendency to run on in some areas, however the story is compelling and the characters are well developed. The performances of the two leads are very emotionally impactful. Not to mention that impeccable Ennio soundtrack. Give this a watch if you want to uncover yet another sad truth throughout the making of America.

Go tell Aunt Rhody everybody wants to be Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
This movie was so much fun, and a competent, atmospheric horror movie. It emulates (and rips off) TCM’s atmosphere perfectly and definitely pays homage with some Easter eggs and one very blatant dancing scene.
But you see this movie is a love letter to TCM. It’s the reboot we deserved instead of what else came out recently…..
