Somewhat Hitchcockian in its plot and presentation, the newest jaunt from M. Night is one of his better movies in his otherwise inconsistent career. In the hands of a lesser director and lead actor, Trap could've been Crap. Josh Hartnett's reemergence to the acting scene is a treat - he deftly toes the line between good and evil so well and the suspense and tautness of the plot has that classic M. Night touch.
