  The Abnormal Growth 2024

  Watching this felt like reading an autobiography book. I can't explain the sensation of it but you can definitely feel its passion.

  The sincerity of reflecting on the past, and how the loss of innocence and the growing pains of understanding make you question the present, and how those mixed together makes the mystery of the future. I am not Clyde nor personally know him, but I feel for him through this because of the amount of vulnerability it showed.

  I hear you, Clyde. Keep creating, then maybe, through film, you can piece together your reason. Fighting!!!

  "If only some people can have it, that's not happiness. That is nonsense. Happiness is something anyone can have"

  But "who is the monster?" - the film leaves the question hanging in the air and it's a question of this movie, and our realities, that may never be answered, because everyone will always see someone else as it.

  I gotta admit I was kinda lost at the start since they showed off jumpy cut scenes, but when it started stitching…

  What I would give this film, it definitely has a lot of heart. And I gotta give it its flowers, it has a great script foundation. The core plot? Actually interesting.

  What diminished its charms is that there were too many stories it wanted to tell. And each subplot having different tones, which was a bit disorienting. I think the juxtaposition of these moods were a tad bit intentional because I don’t see other ways around telling them, but I…

  This is pretty weak from her if I’m going to be frank. There’s definitely an evolution with her material and execution that steers away from her past works.

  But again, she kept emphasizing that she was getting older and maybe that’s why there is change, and it makes sense so I forgive it. We wouldn’t want a comic to keep doing what she does after more than a decade.

  I went in blind to all MMFF entries this year, no idea on it but the poster, didn't even check the genres. So expect me being surprised on most things.
