"People love what other people are passionate about"

It only makes sense that the fresh start to my letterboxd account begins with my favorite film to date.

I genuinely refuse to believe that there are people out there that do not like this film.

It's visually vibrant and bold, telling a story through color as much as words and Justin Hurwitz's jazzy score carrys heavy emotion on the screen.

    It's passion. It's art. It's love.

    Because of this film, I…

"Ladies and gentlemen, you are such a wonderful crowd, we'd like to play a little tune for you. It's one of my personal favorites and I'd like to dedicate it to a young man who doesn't think he's seen anything good today - Cameron Frye, this one's for you."

Chicago is such a beautiful backdrop for Ferris to turn into his playground.

Those who do not like this movie are either jealous of Ferris, or did not have a friend…

"We all lie to ourselves to be happy."

I am not always the biggest fan of the unreliable narrator, but Nolan nails this one. It's inventive and the timeline is more than just a gimmick.

It's funny and sad, though I think we miss some emotional depth / are detached from some of the strong emotional pull because of the distance this film creates.

Not Nolan's best, and maybe 4/5 is just because I am comparing to other Nolan films, but that's where I stand for now.

"Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange."

    I love myself a thinker.

Visually this film is almost perfect, from scaling cityscapes to the gravity-defying hallway fights, its crafted beautifully.

Every re-watch I pick up a new fold in the plot and try to piece together my final thoughts on whether or not the top stops, but I think I am okay with not knowing with certainty.

Inception isn't flawless (and the dialog is pretty bad), but through those flaws the films ambition and originality make this a fun watch time and time again.

"What a loss to spend that much time with someone, only to find out that she's a stranger."

"Why do I fall in love with every woman I see that shows me at least bit of attention?"

Wow, what a strangely beautiful movie that deserves two quotes. So many moments of human truth and emotion that resonate in a part of me that is otherwise reserved.

Unfortunately, I can't say I fully enjoyed it being out of order the way…

First one was better. A lot better.
