faves of 2024 first-time watches (in no particular order):
also a great example of when extras go too hard (and I love it)
the more I think about it the more annoyed I get
(want that yellow coat though)
TIFF 2018: Day One, #2
I don’t think you can save people.
But you can be there for them, can’t you?
I don’t really know what to say about this other than that it’s beautiful and that there’s nothing better than holding your best friend in a movie that makes your soul cry.
Being in a theatre full of people sharing 2 hours of their lives experiencing the deepest empathy for others is one of the best privileges in the world.
I love film.
TIFF 2018: Day Two, #1
Super impressed. Viola Viola Viola- fabulous as always. Very excited to see my girl Cynthia Erivo shine on the big screen. Daniel Kaluuya’s character is one of my favourite villains in recent years, maybe ever. Robert Duvall was also excellent. Not enough Jon Bernthal.
Steve McQueen, you’ve done it again.
A truly special moment getting to watch a film of such stature where two of my heroes (Viola and Cynthia) not only share the screen…
