Here’s the thing: this movie was fine at best throughout most of it, and then when Ethan steals the virus and cure and the movie ends on like 30 minutes of some of the worst chase/action sequences I’ve ever seen, so in totality yeah this movie kind of stinks. I despised the use of slow-mo throughout the entire movie, both during action sequences and also just regular old things like people walking or talking or whatever. I mean slow-mo is…

Beau Is Afraid 2023
Might be my least favorite movie of all time. Found it boring and totally incoherent. Granted, I’m willing to accept that I just “didn’t get it” and that’s fine, this is just not my kind of movie. Never has been. Had to fight to stay awake and resist the urge to leave the theater. The Lighthouse is the only other movie that comes to mind that made me feel those things. I will not be seeing Ari Aster’s next movie.
