I don’t know what I was thinking with a measly 4 star review for this film on the first watch. Maybe I was being childish and not appreciating the musical form or maybe I was just trying to be different. Whatever the case may be, a rewatch was much needed to realize the true 5 star nature of this movie. La La Land is an experience with a rollercoaster of emotions portrayed in the most visually pleasing way possible.
