  honestly, this is everything i wanted the wild robot to be.

  its EXTREMELY cute and charming the whole way without ever feeling "aimless" even though they are literally "going with the flow" (a HA), the score's legit breathtaking with the progressive electronic-y elements kicking in whenever theres something "transcendental" (like the crane ascension scene with the northern lights and the clouds swirling around them godDAMN) AND the handheld style emulation (which i usually find extremely gimmicky in animated movies) works extremely well here.

  jfc who would've thought a biopic about a “has been” popstar, portrayed by a cgi monke, directed by the guy who made the greatest showman would go this fucking hard. i certainly didnt. this shits fucking bonkers from start to finish, it genuinely looks so fucking cool ESPECIALLY during the musical sequences and just oozes energy the whole way through and the songs all slaps for some goddamn reason (ive never heard of this man before this movie).
