  I inevitably compared this film to other space greats such as Gravity and Interstellar. I was a bit surprised by on reaction: I found First Man to be just as good - if not better - because of the emphatic performances of Ryan Gosling (who I'm not a big fan of, however I might have to reevaluate that stance after seeing this film) and Claire Foy, but also the evocative theremin-heavy score and beautiful choice of shots/cinematography.
