  What a night. Griffin Dunne is absolutely terrific as our unfortunate and hapless Paul Hackett. Overall, another display of Scorsese’s skill as a filmmaker.

  Round two in IMAX 70mm on a 6-story tall screen! During my first watch, I feel like I was constantly focusing on the differences from the book, despite still really really liking the adaptation. This time I was able to sit back and let myself be fully immersed in Villeneuve’s vision of Dune. This story means so much to me, and I found myself emotional watching Paul triumph in his attempt to ride Shai-Hulud and become fremen, while Hans Zimmer’s score erupted in an epic fashion. Dune Part Two is an absolute spectacle and the performance by Timothée Chalamet blew me away.
