Look. I knew I was in for something stupid. The original was a feat and no weather disaster film has come close since. I explicitly wanted to watch this a) to see Glen Powell and b) to let my actual storm chaser spouse roast the shit out of it (and in those regards I was not disappointed).

Every person in this movie is more likeable than the protagonist and i continue to not understand the appeal of daisy edgar-jones. Dialogue…

Gosh I wanted to like this movie so much more than I did!

It mostly just made me want to watch the other action/revenge flicks it kept reminding me of. Supporting cast really took the cake on this one, both comedically and in one of the only scenes that got me emotional AND had decent writing.

Ke Huy Quan deserves every opportunity; I hope his next one is a bit better than this.

Big respect to George Miller for continuing to prove that action films and deep emotional beats and art house sensibilities don't have to be separate things.

Honored the original and stands on its own, but isn't necessary to watch if you only ever want to have Fury Road in your heart.

Did not cry in this one so -1 star I guess?? But like, dang this one was also great. Give me more platonic "I would die for you" relationships on screen!!

Except for the car green screen this film was flawless

It's halfway between Brick and Bad Times at the El Royale

It's the most Cowboy Bebop thing I've ever watched that wasn't Cowboy Bebop

Both these actors are at their best when they do comedy, I don't give a damn how many awards they've won for dramatic films
