Maybe if they hadn’t given every stunt away in the trailer… Maybe if I hadn’t just watched Jack Quaid being an absolute monster in Companion would it have been easier for me to fall for him as a dweebie white guy… Maybe if the movie didn’t try so hard to scream at me that it’s charming I would’ve been charmed?
Not to be a buzz kill, but my heart was simply too numb to this on the whole. Appreciate the originality but if this had been on Netflix I don’t think people would be praising it as much.
