  Okay, that was deceitful.

  The plot in itself is well thought, the actors are great - Gilles Lellouche was quite surprising, I was looking forward to watching him play a dramatic role -, the theme is interesting, the filmmaker is correct.

  However, that was badly written. Especially the psychologies of the characters : in such a closed-door movie like this one, we are waiting for dramatic tension, personality progression, characters developments. There are some, but they are badly brought to…

  Eiffel a été mal promu ; ce n'est pas un film historique sur la construction de la tour, mais une romance fictive d'Eiffel sur fond de la construction de la tour.

  Une fois les pendules remises à l'heure sur le thème, c'est un bon film qui remplit son rôle.

  Le principal atout du film ? La forme : les images, les plans, les couleurs, les costumes.
