Humbling. On second watch this is just as harrowing and emotional as my first viewing.
This film is a collection of tiny miracles. It was made with surviving nitrate records of the past burried in the ground for years that will seek to destroy themselves if not preserved. The decay is built into the medium, yet the past survives. Through fire, weather, and the march of time human history perserveres.
