    It's refreshing to watch something so gorgeously somber. I love Herzog because he has such an earnest emotional and philosophical fixation with humanity's conflicts with itself and nature. He takes the subjects of his films exactly as serious as he needs to and lets his visceral feelings toward these images and experiences be a source of strength and connection.
