i really wanted to love this movie, and i was a huge fan of the first 2. but the line was too long, my friend’s pretzel bites took forever, and the pepsi zero was watery. i really was expecting reclining seats, but alas, ryan reynolds didn’t think that was necessary. the screen was curved, which i thought was cool, but reese’s thins are a joke and couldn’t make up for the holes in the bottom of my popcorn bag.

Finally! I am so sick of superhero movies dominating the cinema, this was a breath of fresh air. Might not be for everyone, but for cinephiles, particularly anyone with a deep love for French new wave, your patience will be rewarded tenfold. Rebecca Hall is a natural, and Brian Tyree Henry’s performance is on par with Tom Cruise a la Magnolia: you didn’t know he had it in him! Tom Holkenborg’s score is haunting, every shot is fully realized. Adam Wingard makes David Lynch look like a normie by comparison. Only thing missing is a quick cameo by Mark Buffalo.

What a flick! Great cameos from some of the stars of that era. My only wish is that it would’ve come out in 2012 and not 1992, so we could maybe get a cameo from Mark Buffalo!

Talented Mr Ripley with necrophilia and multiple endings. Rosamund Pike is fantastic. The dad was great but would’ve been better if played by Mark Buffalo.
