Oh, my god. Oh my god. This is beautiful garbage. A legitimately fun time, I think, or possibly incredibly dull? I feel like somebody just picked me up and shook me as hard as they could for 85 minutes.
On a more seriously critical note: absolutely no one is likable or redeemable in this. An old woman gets decked. The effects aren’t half-bad. I cannot believe it isn’t a comedy.
Probably best watched drunk.

I don’t know that any film has stunned me to tears before the 8-minute mark before.
I had to write something down to record the impact A Matter of Life and Death had on me, but I’d be lying if I said I’d gathered my wits well enough to make it coherent. I loved every minute of it, and that’s about as much as I can manage until I’ve watched it again, and maybe again after that.
