  i love when plays are adapted into movies. they have a very specific flavor and it is usually in the rapid-fire dialogue that is just sooo juicy. if two or more people are yelling at each other in the same location for two hours, that usually means it’s a play adaptation. paul newman and elizabeth taylor are not only fantastic in this they are also very gorgeous.

  kara young had me in stitches with her warbling, raspy delivery. the reference to the montgomery brawl chair in the final scene took me OUT. and it goes without saying that ossie davis and ruby dee are legends.
