  I thought it’d be cheesier, but I enjoyed the sound and the performance. I enjoyed the rather long takes for a commercial film. I also like the ending. Oscar Isaac’s acting was very good; very nice and naturalistic performance of an asshole. As for the techno-orientalist inclusion of Kyoko, I’m still assessing.

  ugh why is everything gotta be multi-universe family melodrama with one-liner jokes🙄 (feels like everything everywhere all at once)

  It’s like people can’t consume things that’s not  maximalist anymore (both the content and aesthetic). What a generation.

  The Jeff koons thing is annoying and so is the self-aware spider-man meme rendered as animation.

  
  I find interesting that the animation medium remediate the aesthetic/feelings of comics very well. For example when texts (in comic fonts) such as “CLASH” or “ZIP” pops…
