I feel like this movie was good on it’s own but since I read the book before it, I was left a bit disappointed. There is just so much in the book that they left out. Most of these changes are just minor, like aging the characters up a year or making the school 7-12 grade instead of k-12. However, the movie also leaves out many characters—both real and hallucinations—that were important to the story. I’m not exactly mad that the movie isn’t exactly like the book, I feel they are both good on there own.
