Earnestly, I haven’t been this disappointed by a movie in a long time. Totally vacuous and empty, and worse than that, extraordinarily dull, and worse than that, misogynistic as fuck. Feels like the Academy and the critical consensus are chasing what they missed with The Florida Project, which I’m now considering to be possibly a total fluke. Wooden acting from some, cartoonish from others, imbecilic script, terrible pacing. The sound mixing wasn’t bad, at least!
