The Manchurian Candidate 2004
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
If anything held this one back for me, it’s Jonathan Demme’s signature style of directing. The close-up shots from the perspectives of the characters made me uncomfortable for a lot of the movie lol bc it’s mostly only used during dialogue scenes. So we’re just completely locked in eye contact with the actors and it’s ~a choice~ to say the least.
Otherwise, really well acted across the board. Decently interesting mystery with a decent payoff.
