This was horrible, beautiful, and important. Gorgeous and comforting hand drawn animation with an importantly painful story about racism, hate crimes, and community.
The animations feels so reminiscent to illustrations in children’s literature, you almost forgot this was not really created with children as the target audience - but moreso like you are experiencing this event how a child would. This feels so pertinent for adults, especially now, with so much hateful violence against children. It’s scary for us, but…
