The last 15-20 minutes are excellent. There are some lines in this flick that makes you tear up because hearing them exemplified is sort of peaceful in a way. It’s a 96 minute therapy session and that’s not everyone’s jam.
I think watching the first three tainted my view just a bit. Caesar is beyond beloved, and this movie pays their respects to his legacy. But it’s time for something new, and for that I give them their credit. I do think that would have served better as a fifth movie. Because I didn’t get as much time to appreciate this “300 years later” world. I am eager to see where we go from here as it seems the 1968 timeline is one the horizon.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I adore this movie. It’s my rain water for when things kinda suck. In a world of striving for happiness and winning we forgot that it’s okay to just be okay. Especially when you’re going through difficult times. Sometimes you need other people to help ya get the bus going.
Undoubtedly my favorite movie of all time. I completely understand if it is not your cup of tea, but it’s important this movie exists in the world. It taught me the world is as beautiful as it cruel. Honest as it is deceptive. Peaceful as it is torturous. GDT is a crafter of light and dark and we are all better for it.
