I liked this movie a lot more than I had expected to. I think I was set to see it at TIFF two years ago and decided to skip out because I was too tired and it wasn't a story about women. And that is true but its still a good movie.

What a beautiful movie. I loved everything about it. The cinematography is so beautiful and understated. It serves the story perfectly. The costumes, the sets, the pacing, the performances, the characters and their relationships.
I'm very touched by the conundrum faced by all three main characters and the representations of grace that all three approach the conflict with. Beautiful Screenwriting and Direction by Celine Song and what an incredible directorial debut!

So much of this movie felt real to me. Perhaps its because it is set in nearby Burlington, or that it takes place when I would have been in my teens. The storytelling details in this film made me absolutely howl. For instance, when a co-worker's earrings are complimented she says they are from Le Chateau!!!
