Film #1 of Hooptober.
I honestly really wanted to like this movie. It starts strong, putting together a nice sense of atmosphere and a sense of dread, as well as leaning in an interesting way on the whole nature of generational trauma, with both Kaitlyn and her boyfriend having a sort of desire to escape their pasts; Kaitlyn to escape her father that doesn't care for her, and her boyfriend desperately trying to escape the urban brawl and poverty-dominated town…
