Just a fun adventure movie. Pretty great action scenes, decent twists, and a good main cast of characters. You can tell the actors had fun shooting this.
Alden Ehrenreich is actually a decent young Han Solo. For such an impossible task, his performance is serviceable.
A solid okay movie. Nothing about it is bad, but it just doesn’t do anything amazing. It’s exactly like the trailer, has the same tone, which is a little disappointing because I was expecting some sort of twist/change in tone (similar to Parasite).
Robert Pattinson’s dual-acting, specifically his voice acting, is quite good. It’s crazy how they made him unattractive in this, that’s an achievement in and of itself.
Kind of a nothing movie, I expected more from this. I didn’t care for any of the characters. Even the characters I sort of liked annoyed me at times. The worst were the random dogs and the bird, I wish they all drowned.
The story is pointless, and was missing an emotional core. I think the death of an animal would’ve gone a long way. That’s a bit of a cheap way to make the audience feel emotion, but I…
Pretty disappointed in this one. The story wasn’t motivating, I didn’t really care about the characters, and it was unnecessarily long. The ending is quite bizarre.
I really respect the abundance of one-take scenes they have. I love the film grain. Adrian Brody gives a good “Best Actor” performance, I’d be surprised if he didn’t win the Oscar. The score is good, but it often feels more epic than what this movie deserves.
