A Real Pain 2024
Good film. Felt very personal and slice of life. I think the ending presents a really subtle idea of pain. I was left with a gentle sadness, but it was so temporary and then I forgot about the film.

I thought it was a good insight into a but of religion and the conflicts even within one faith. How organized religion can so often lose sight of their purpose and direction. I think this was illustrated well in as each person thinks about who to vote for: the lesser of two evils? Or a candidate thats unlikely to win but is truly deserving. I didn't buy the ending but Im not mad about it. They really wanted to hit it home with a twist ending but it just seemed like a bit if a stretch for me.
