  this erotic vampire movie actually explored a lot of themes in an interesting way (religion, religion vs science, power, suicide) and featured top tier sexual chemistry and unique laugh out loud humor. the plot was kinda rambling and felt like multiple different movies in one, so it didn’t all flow/tie together for me ultimately, but i was engaged the whole time. 

  
  footnote: i was tragically separated from my movie going companion kathleen in the packed theater, so i was forced to keep my would be whispered commentary to myself, but kathleen got free pickles due to the separate seats

  i almost threw up, closed my eyes for about 20% of the movie, and was physically uncomfortable for the entire viewing experience. but it was so well done, thought provoking, and randomly really funny. demi moore was incredible, particular in her later embodiments. as soon as i was reaching my absolute limit of goriness, it entered camp territory, and i couldn’t stop laughing. everything was taken to the extreme—they literally could not have taken this movie further if they tried.…

  @kathleen and i watched this movie instead of the 1960s movie she recommended because i said that old movies are “too slow”….turns out, it could not have been slower than this movie.

  the entire movie crawled along at a snails pace, and there were three painfully drawn out scenes in particularly.
