  Fun and entertaining movie that is carried by an intriguing plot and individual standout performance from seasoned Hollywood vets. Certainly not Joon-ho’s best works, but if this is his “bad” then he is doing pretty good.

  This plot is a suspenseful journey through a girl’s (sisters’, family’s ??) appetite. Julia Ducournau’s self-evident title invites the audience into a enthralling coming of age story. Ducournau drops excellent foreshadowing throughout the movie, and the brevity of the movie befits the plot and sadistic nature of the story line. Themes of canibalism and beastiliaty are balanced by beautiful yet dark composed scenes. The cinematography is exquisite.

  For a movie with very little dialogue, the storytelling was rich.  The plot masterfully integrated EO’s story with the journey of each character.  The cinematography was daring, I particularly enjoyed the windmill and waterfall scenes, respectively.

Following
