Been meaning to watch this movie for quite some time now, and might I say it was worth the wait for it to appear on Amazon prime. It was a lovely incorporation of Eight Grade and Mid90s, revealing the awkwardness adolescence provides for those who feel misplaced or invisible. I just love to see nurturing mothers in the coming of age genre, as my mother was who got me through those troubling years. I also wonder if I have helped my younger sister through self discovery in her teens the way didi’s sister did—so wholesome.
