1.) I feel like this shouldn’t have been a musical
2.) the cuts & editing was weird between scenes. Felt abrupt
3.) I feel like if you peel back some layers of this movie you can find a nice plot. Scrap a lot of plot lines and make the focus her journey being trans.

I enjoyed the film. I really appreciate the directing, great use of wide and close up shots. UGH loved those close up shots and camera pan shots. The panning shows felt theatrical as the next scene was occurring. I appreciate the homage to the style of the old Dracula’s movies and 30s style horror movies. Also would like the point out the score. Phenomenal addition to this movie. Really adding to the suspense and anticipation, eerie.
Can we talk about the performances of Lily Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgård and Nicholas Hoult?!! *round of applause*
