What a wonderful coming of age movie Kiki’s Delivery Service is. As usual the animation and soundtrack to a Ghibli movie hasn’t let me down and was both beautiful and moving.

For a first time viewer who hasn’t watched any prior Spider-Man movies or read the comics it was easy to understand and follow. This meant that I could just immerse myself in its greatness from the get go with gradual lore being spoon fed to me naturally as it progressed, which I appreciated a lot!

It was a visual delight and I loved how playful and funny it was. Alongside its humour it handled suspense and serious themes very well…
