The Silence of the Lambs 1991
On one hand it’s a wonderful thriller with a somewhat open but fulfilling conclusion and yet on the other it’s perhaps a bit too much of a slow burner to make it stand out to me. This film stinks of film bros and that is not a compliment. If you enjoy grown men snorting drugs and almost getting paralytic drunk in order to function as well as glorifying a man who built a successful empire off of exploiting normal people for his own gain, then you’ll probably love this one.
It’s also just too long of a runtime for my liking. I truly feel it could’ve wrapped up in 90mins and still gotten the points across…

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2018
For a first time viewer who hasn’t watched any prior Spider-Man movies or read the comics it was easy to understand and follow. This meant that I could just immerse myself in its greatness from the get go with gradual lore being spoon fed to me naturally as it progressed, which I appreciated a lot!
