  Amusant par moments, mais (presque) totalement oubliable. La scène de viol et la manière dont le film a choisi de l'utiliser sont un peu problématiques. Patrick Dewaere est charmant dans le rôle principal, mais le reste de la distribution est assez bof.

  Surprised by how much I liked this. It keeps getting better and better the further it goes. A great mixture of noir influences with the cynic conspiracy thriller so typical for the 90s. Might even rewatch it later this year with even more focus.

  A pretty good take on idealistic yakuza struggling to live in the changing times. While most of these stories center around the pre-post-WWII transition, this one is about the change from Taisho to Showa era, and the growing relationship between crime syndicates and right-wing political parties. Nakadai is amazing in this one. The way he expresses emotion with his eyes is almost unparalleled.
