I wish I had seen this before awards season because it’s a fun body horror film but it’s so rare that a horror movie gets this much award recognition (justice for Toni Collette!!!) so I was really expecting something special and it just didn’t blow me away.
As a satire, it doesn’t really work for me. What is the impetus for Elizabeth to keep forging ahead? We’re told over and over (very unsubtly) that she and Sue are one, but…
