    Idk it was fine. Interesting story that they needlessly tried to jazz up but still didn't manage to rly elevate it beyond a ~3-star film.

    My neighbor loaned this to me the summer before I went off to college and I thought it was decent but I think I was too stupid to fully appreciate it when I was 18. Watching it as a 30 year old it's grown to be one of my favorites by the Coens—but I'm a sucker for movies with existential themes and about the abject failure of the concept of "The American Dream."

    It makes me feel like this scene in The Sopranos:

    Chris: You ever feel like nothing good was ever gonna happen to you?

    Pauli: Yeah, and nothing did! So what?
