  To me, it felt like a story of a grown adult building up then destroying the spirit of a child trying to make something magical. In most cases it works, because it's so hard to trust that you can create again. But in this case, Sandi and the people around her retained enough of that spirit to establish an "afterlife" for their film.

  Even without sound, Shirkers is an astounding film and deserved to be everything they wanted it to!…
