Loved the theming and was on Hugh Grant's side the whole movie, except for the killing stuff. I thought he made his point by the end of the door choice scene.

This movie is heavily contrived and it was obvious it would be going into it. Still was quite enjoyable despite of this.

This movie, if it didnt have the theming it did, would be a 2.5 stars for me, but since the themeing was very validating to my personal beliefs I had to give it an extra star.

Great movie overall. Strong, concise scene flow for the first 2 acts. Once they begin to awake the movie started to feel not as tight/impactful. But it does come back around by the end.

You can tell that had the writing motifs down between the window, the glasses, and the ouiji board. It was a solid, well put together movie through out.

Compared to the directors other movies he has made, I would say this was the weakest in terms of story. But this movie did an excellent job at being immersive. The sets and costumes were very convincing and Nick Holt's acting was the best Ive seen him in. Also Johnny Depp's daughter permformance here will help repair her acting reputation she tarnished with the idol. There were momenta where I wasn't fully convinced by her, but she did well enough…

The best part of this movie was its background artwork. The drawings are sometimes so realistic you can't tell if it a real mountain or not. The story itself was alright; Habu who was the expert climber was more interesting than the journalist main character.

The best scene may have been when the journalist is feeling the lack of air at 7500ft. It made you feel suffocated a way other movies don't seem to do as well.

    My only gripes…
