What happened to Ernest mellow-dramas like this? Holy shit!! The script is whatever but it’s kind of incredible what this movie does with simply great direction and incredible performances. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration that McAdams and Gosling give possibly the best performances of their careers here and that’s saying something.
The chemistry they share is once in a lifetime.

Did I love this? No, but it was pretty much exactly what I expected. An overcrowded ensemble, fan service film for SNL nerds and that’s cool I guess! I did however find the Loren jerk off session to be pretty obnoxious.
