Really didn’t like the beginning of this - just felt so unbelievable and silly. But it grew on me for sure and some fun surprises and interesting elements ultimately. Not as sexy as advertised btw. Very good performances! Not particularly interesting filmmaking. Some fun song choices. Odd score - very white lotus vibe.

I didn’t love this quite as much as I thought I would tbh. Mikey is amazing and by far the best part. Yuriy borisov also truly is so good and the Oscar nom is very cool. Those performances carry the film. The plot and other characters felt a bit hollow and silly to me I think. Lob nylan back from the dead!! Loved this. Just a pleasure through and through what else to say. This movie made me want to move to LA, drink a lot of whiskey, live in a bungalow in the Hollywood hills, and write anti cop crime fiction.
