omg what a movie
the runtime justified itself completely, such a good narrative with great characters, action and humor
a major improvement on the first two in the trilogy.
tuco finding the grave, the final standoff, and blondie saving tuco for the last time all wrap up this incredible movie perfectly.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 2022
Rewatched in preparation for the third movie; in areas it improves upon the first film but in others it fails, notably the humour. You can tell this is more kid oriented when compared to the first movie, with multiple scenes like the dance battle having no real relevance to the story. The wedding subplot, while taking up a bit too much of the runtime and ruining the pacing, it quite enjoyable with Rachel’s actor doing a great job with her scenes. Knuckles and Eggman make for good villains as well. Overall I’d say it’s about on par/slightly better than the first.

Definitely the worst of the franchise so far, with an uninspired villain and a very disjointed story. The Mega Minions, while advertised as a main point of the movie, have little to no relevance to the already thin plot. Joey King’s character Poppy was very well done though. The ending where all the past villains came together in prison to sing along with Gru was a cute moment, and Vector is alive!!!
