A truly great film with some flaws that I’m happy to overlook. From the very beginning, Daniel Craig’s performance had me captivated. His portrayal of a man weighed down by deep sorrow and loneliness was incredibly moving. The interactions with Drew Starkey’s character were fascinating to watch. The fact that we don’t learn much about Starkey’s character isn’t really an issue—it actually fits the dreamlike quality of the film.

Babygirl 2024
This film deserved an oscar nomination solely because of its rave scene. Nicole Kidman goes all in with this role and absolutely carries the film with grace. She and Dickinson share a unique chemistry. Unfortunately, the rest of the cast doesn’t get as much attention, but it’s still manageable. In a few scenes, the characters appeared a bit out of focus, especially during moments with handheld camera work, which briefly took me out of the experience. On the bright side, the soundtrack is fantastic, very Gen Z-coded.
