A great mixture between the Neo Noir and Superhero action genre.The movie overall had a very Fincher-esque vibe from the dark moody atmosphere to Nirvana's Something In The Way playing in the background it really felt like I was watching something directed by Fincher rather than your typical CGI loving,laser shooting,good vs evil Superhero flick produced by the MCU(not trying to diss the MCU I grew up watching those films).

Outrage,while it is a fun film about the dirty world of Yakuzas,lacks the charm and aesthetics earlier Kitano works like Sonatine,Hana-bi and even non Yakuza Takeshi movies like A Scene At The Sea and Kids Return had.As I stated the whole trilogy is fun as a commercial Yakuza film but it really just ends there.So I don't think the Outrage trilogy is as good as Kitano's earlier more artsy and silent works
