Pride & Prejudice 2005
wowee what a film
As one stricken with pride and mired by my extreme prejudices, I've got to say this film really spoke to me.
It's really nicely lit, the estates are gorgeous and the main characters are very memorable. The dialogue flows well and the courtship between the main four is captivating. The really liked Lady Catherine and her visit to the families estate.
All the slight zoom shots just made me laugh though, they didn't work at all for me and really took me out the moment.

The Fall Guy 2024
wowee what a film
Yeah I mean it's a Hollywood blockbuster action film which ticks all the boxes and contains all the annoying story beats and clichés.
It's really nicely shot, the long continuous shot towards the start of the film immediately springs to mind as well as the shots around the opera house.
The 'twist' villain was bland and visible from a mile away. Our heros are also very one dimensional with an extremely predictable story.
The action scenes are alright, annoying spongey combat and stormtrooper aim aside. The truck chase was pretty novel and fairly well done.
Overall, you've seen this film before.

Mean Girls 2004
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
wowee what a film
Mean Girls is cutthroat, abrasive and unashamed of portraying high school life. While the plot is pretty predictable (albeit with some amusing twists - genuinely didn't forsee the bus!), it serves the humour and pacing of the film perfectly. The characters are excellent and incredibly well acted, with some incredible line delivery and laugh-out-loud slapstick moments. The film is full of iconic moments and is overall an extremely competent high school comedy.

wowee what a film
I don't remember this being so funny, really entertaining. Animation held up well and the characters are really memorable. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Some jokes were overused though and outstayed their welcome.
